Three Month Tapawera Transport Trial    

Courtesy of NTCTT hybrid Wakefield Bus and Tapawera-based driver volunteers, we are offering a weekly transport service to both Motueka and Richmond (via Wakefield) for the next three months (April-June inclusive). 

The cost is $6 one-way, $12 return. 

To book a seat, please call the Motueka i-SITE on 03 528 6543 and make card payment through them.  (Volunteer Drivers do not handle cash and the Motueka i-SITE handles the Trust’s passenger bookings and payments for regular routes.)

Trial Routes

Tuesdays ONLY

Tapawera -Wakefield -Richmond return.

Wednesdays ONLY

Tapawera -Motueka return.

Nelson Bays Primary Health is offering an 8 week course on wellbeing (Wed, 1 May to Wed, 19 June ‘24) called ‘Kickstart’ from 1-2pm on Wednesdays at the Motueka Recreation Centre for $3 a session.  See link  Here  for further details.

We are grateful to Tasman District Council for financial support to NTCTT and to Richmond Aquatic Centre for discounted prices and driver support. 

The trial will be reviewed at the beginning of June with NTCTT, passengers, volunteer drivers and other stakeholders to determine if the Tapawera service is kept running.
